Executive Biography
As Vice President of Production and Development for Film & Television at Tri Destined Studios, Veronica F. Nichols is responsible for the development of TDS projects from inception to fruition, from page to screen. It is Veronica’s desire and duty to bring quality projects with heart to audiences everywhere. Together with ND Brown, Trey Haley, Greg Anderson and the rest of the Tri Destined Executive Team, Veronica creates and champions projects that entertain, educate and inspire.
Veronica’s background is in both business and production. Her business history began at Florida A&M University were she graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Business Administration, emphasis in Marketing. Veronica first put those skills to work in corporate America as an assistant buyer at Neiman Marcus.
It was during this time that Veronica realized her heart truly lie in filmmaking, so she jumped at the opportunity to gain some hands on experience with other FAMU alumni who were shooting an independent film in Atlanta, Georgia. This film was the cult indie hit “Trois” which went on to gross $1.2M at theaters, become a trilogy, and spawn a spin off series, “Motives”. While in Atlanta, Veronica continued to work, gaining valuable experience as a production manager, burgeoning producer, and even cutting her director’s teeth as the director’s trainee on the star-studded film “The Gospel”.
The transition from the administrative side to the creative side fueled Veronica to develop her career as a writer and director in addition to her career as a producer. Veronica again jumped at an opportunity, this time to move to Los Angeles and take classes at the renowned School of Cinema at the University of Southern California. The move to LA also reunited her with former writing partner and FAMU and Rainforest alum Greg Anderson.
Since she joined forces with Tri Destined Studios, Veronica has produced “The American Dream” starring rapper Mike Jones for Warner Brothers’ Records, the indie comedy “Why Am I Doing This?”, a Cinequest Film Festival and Boulder International Film Festival selection. Next up, she is set to produce the indie rom-com “Perfect Combination” and direct the indie comedy “Meter Maid”. As a writer, Veronica is never far from the word and is currently working on several screenplays that span and/or combine multiple genres.
